How to Find Great Ideas on Affiliate Marketing

By Christina D.

Probably one of the many and common difficulties individuals who work from home as affiliate marketers encounter is choosing the right products to sell or services to offer. As soon as you have embraced the world of affiliate marketing, the next thing you need to do is look for a product that will be the focus of all your efforts making it the key to earning huge bucks online. However, affiliate marketing is nothing like child's play. You really have to do something in order for this online career of yours to work out. You start off with getting affiliate marketing ideas. But where can one find those given the vast scope of the Internet?

Well, one definite place that you can go to in order to find affiliate marketing ideas for your work from home is a forum or a discussion board or several of them. Most of these forums are free to join but if you prefer to look around it as a guest, then you may do so. You can just hang out for awhile and check out what members are up to. You may observe their conversations, updates, hot topics they feast on but what you need to look closely is the stuff they put in their signatures and if possible, the number of posts they made and the nature of those posts. In other words, aside from lurking around discussions, you may find it useful checking out member profiles.

The signature feature is really important and could be a great way to find necessary hints and tips for affiliate marketing and work from home. This is because most people place links to their ads, sites, products, affiliate programs, etc. in their signatures. Clicking and following on those links may lead you to a certain product or service that you might be interested to get affiliated into.

Another consideration is the number of posts that particular member has and the nature of his posts just to check on his credibility and background. If he's reputable enough, chances are you might gain some useful insights and information from him with regards to affiliate marketing.

You can also do the basic and the first thing people do when they search for something. Go to the search engines, type in what you need to know, in our case, that would be 'affiliate marketing ideas'. Then hit the search button and voila! You've got a gazillion results. Start searching from the top results and move on to the lower ones. If you think you already have a couple of ideas on your sleeve, you may skip the rest and get down to your work from home instantly.

But of course, what can ever beat the power of a keen eye? One more way to capture floating ideas about affiliate marketing for your work from home is to turn your heads around and try to look at things near you. It might come from a magazine, a newspaper, a poster. You might see it on TV. You might hear it from others talking or from the radio. You just never know when and where the thoughts might struck you. If they do, be sure to have a pen and paper handy.

There are numerous means to find great ideas on affiliate marketing. All it needs is a little research on your part and you're off to go with your work from home.

Article Writing Tips: How to Beat Blank Screen Syndrome

Article Writing Tips - How to Beat Blank Screen Syndrome So You Can Build Traffic, Leads & Sales
By Eric Gruber

Writing articles and submitting them to a worldwide audience online can be very exciting in the beginning.

You start out with great ideas. You’re motivated. You’re inspired. You’re ready, willing and able to educate audiences worldwide. You’re psyched to start building your list with targeted leads so you can make more money online selling your books, products and services.

But, after a while, you run out of steam.

You find yourself sitting at your computer with your eyes in a blank stare and your fingers ready at the keyboard. But they’re not typing.

You’re stumped!

The muse isn’t so amused anymore. You start hunting for things to write about. And, when you finally get yourself together and try to write an article, it doesn’t flow. There is not much to say. Things are awkward. You don’t know how to begin and how to end.

So where do you turn when your idea arsenal is running low?

Here Are 5 Ways to Eliminate Writer’s Block So You Can Write Articles Fast to Build Traffic, Leads and Profits:

1. Uncover the Hidden Source of Story Ideas with Surveys

Marketing professionals have turned towards web surveys to do research, plan projects, get feedback, develop new products and services, and create public relations and marketing opportunities. So why aren’t you using surveys to drum up ideas for articles. Surveys are hidden sources of story ideas, providing rich, timely, interesting and intriguing information that you can use in your own articles.

2. Go Blog Hopping

We’re all guilty of doing reading blogs from our blogroll on a regular basis. We can’t avoid it, even if we wanted to. However, the next time you blog hop, read your favorite blogs with the purpose of finding ideas to write articles about and ask yourself:

• What are bloggers and their readers interested in at the moment?

• What is the most popular topic that people blog about?

• Do I want to write about it too and create an article around that topic?

3. Use Your Own Blog as a Content Source

Your very own blog can become your best friend when it comes to writing articles. Your blog is a tool that will help you analyze what your audience is interested in. Review your blog posting archives. Find out which postings received the greatest number of reader comments – both positive and negative. Figure out which postings got the most views. Now you know exactly what your audience wants to know. So give them what they want, by writing articles based on your most popular topics..

4. Explore Article Directories

Article directories like EzineArticles.com are gold mines of ideas for article writers. Read articles written for your target audience to obtain ideas, but never plagiarize the actual articles.

The best article directories list the most popular or newest articles. Use this as your starting point. Then add your own ideas and experiences to develop the article ideas.

5. Relax Your Mind & Enjoy It All

By turning article writing into a burdensome, repetitive task, you will pay for it in stilted prose and cliché ideas. You must learn to relax and enjoy educating the World as you establish credibility, build link popularity and increase traffic, leads and sales.

A relaxed mind is an open mind. And an open mind is prepared to accept new and creative ideas for your article writing and marketing efforts.

Every single day I remind myself to enjoy the craft no matter what– and I’m the article marketing expert. I know if I don’t remind myself to relax and enjoy writing articles to educate authors, experts, marketing professionals and business owners just like you, I would not be able to write articles on a daily basis.

I write articles for article submission. I write articles for my blog. I write articles to be posted on ArticleMarketingExperts.com. I write articles for the PR LEADS Article Markets Secrets & Breakthroughs Newsletter.

And, guess what?<

I never ever run out of ideas, and you won’t either if you relax your mind, enjoy the art and follow the strategies, I described in this article.

How to Write 500-750 Word Articles That Get Published More

Article Writing Secrets - How to Write 500-750 Word Articles That Get Published More
By Eric Gruber

It's easier said than done to write great 500-750 word articles.

Some of us simply have too much to say. We have trouble reigning things in at less than 1500 words. Others are on the opposite end of the spectrum strain to make their articles long enough.

Knowing that a 500-750 word article marketing article has a greater chance of getting published on a top website like About.com, I consistently try to get all of my articles to conform to that range. Today, I reveal some of my secrets so you can get published on more top websites and ezines.

1. Create an outline

I write a lot of how-to's and list articles. They are the simplest and best articles you can write for online marketing purposes. After I write my headline, the first thing I do is write down my tips or the steps of my 'how-to.' I make brief notes of the major points I want to make without worrying about polishing anything at this point. All I want to do is jot down the skeleton of my article before I start filling in the paragraphs.

2) Fill in the outline and be brief

Say exactly what you need to say to get your point across and stop there. Remember, if you give too much of the "HOW," your prospects will have NO reason to go back to your website to get your special report or buy your products and services.

3) Save writing the intro paragraph and the conclusion for the end.

This little trick will cut your writing time in half. Some of us 'wordy' folks will instinctively go crazy on our intro paragraph and spend huge amounts of time on it trying to get it just right. Then later, we realize that we've just spent half of our word count allotment there!

Focus the majority of your words on the "meat" of the article. This is the part that is in between the intro and the conclusion. For 'How To' or other 500-750 word list articles, your intro paragraph can be as simple as two to three sentences that intrigue readers and gracefully lead them into your list. Your closing paragraph should be 2 to 4 sentences that motivate readers to take action and go to the next level.

4) Do a word count.

Copy and paste your article into a Word document and then use the word-count editing tool. This'll give you an idea of how much you need to trim (if you're over 800 words already) or how much you have to fill in (if you're under 700 words).

5) Eliminate all redundancies

Many writers have tendencies to say something one time, and then say it again in the next sentence in a different way. Just say it once, clearly and concisely, and then move on. Look over your article and remove any phrasing that does not absolutely have to be there.

6) Remove unnecessary words

Here's a task you should complete even if you are in the 500-750 word range. Try to cut down your total word count by 10 percent. You can easily complete this task by eliminating unnecessary words. For example, if you write statements like, "It seem to me that most people prefer soft baked chocolate chip cookies rather than hard ones," you've just used up 5 unnecessary words. You don't need: "It seems to me that." Don't second-guess yourself by putting the qualifier "it seems like," "I think" or "I believe."

7) Create 2 articles out of 1.

If your word count is too long and you've trimmed out as much as you can from each section, you may end up needing to make your "Top 10" article into two "Top 5" articles. If you follow this tip, make sure you write each article as a stand-alone article. When you put part 1 and part 2 in the title, you limit your chances for publication success.

Follow this advice and you will write clear, concise articles that get published and read more often. Now, I'd like to invite you to take your article writing efforts to the next level with my A to Z Article Marketing System.

How to Write Relevant Articles Fast

By Sean Mize

One of the questions I received today from one of my subscribers is this: How do I write relevant articles fast? After I wrote the response I began to think, I wonder how many of you could use this information - so here is the response I gave to my subscriber on how to write relevant articles fast:

To write relevant articles fast, one of the real keys is getting complete control (knowledge) of the content itself so that you can write from knowledge, not research. This may be difficult at first, because you may not know your niche inside and out, but with a little research, and practice writing these articles, it will become easy over time. That is one thing I cannot stress enough - article writing gets easier over time, so I highly recommend practice - and that means writing lots of articles!

Once you have the knowledge in your head instead of in your research materials. you are only constrained by the speed at which you can type. For example, I type about 50 WPM, and it takes me almost exactly 8 minutes to write a 400 word article, because I am working with knowledge, not research.

Then to make the article flow easily, write a 100 word introduction - the introduction will tell the reader the problem you are going to solve in the article, why solving this problem is important, then tell them how it is you are going to solve it.

In the next 300 words, write 5 points of 60 words each, each point telling them one step to solving their problem. Obviously you can expand or contract the number of points, and then change the number of words to make the total 400. Once you have written 50- 100 articles, you will be able to follow this formula without much thought - you will be able to naturally write using this formula.

5 Important Bum Marketing Method Tips for Maximum Traffic, Sales and Success

You probably already know that bum marketing method can be an easy, fast and free way to earn cash online. Bum marketing is really sweet method to earn some dollars online. But you need to do it in a right way.

There is a learning curve when we start out to do anything new. The following tips should shorten the learning curve for you so that you can easily and quickly earn decent cash with the bum marketing method.

Bum Marketing Tip #1:
This tip is very very important. It is - write a lot of articles and write consistently. Remember that bum marketing method is about earning money without spending anything from your own pocket. But you need to put in some time in order to enjoy success with it.

Many people will tell you to write many articles. But they don't tell you another important point. You not only have to write a lot many articles to succeed with this bum marketing method, but you also need to write consistently and for a long time.

You should not stop writing after a few weeks. You should keep writing consistently for many weeks and even months to enjoy tremendous success and income!

Bum Marketing Tip #2:
Submit your article to top article directories. You might have heard people saying that submit your articles to as many article directories as possible. They even provide list of hundreds and thousands of article directories and even provide softwares that mass submit your articles.

But is this really useful? I have found that if you can submit your article to a handful of (7-15) carefully picked and top article directories, its more than enough for me.

I usually submit my article to less than 7 article directories. Instead of submitting the same article to hundreds of directories, I can spend that time in writing another bum article and submitting to the top 7 again!

By top article directories, I mean those from where I usually get a lot of response. You can consider the alexa rank, google pagerank as well as number of authors registered on that site to get a good estimate about the popularity of the site. Later on, after submitting a few articles, you can judge for yourself from where you are getting better results.

Bum Marketing Tip#3:
Pay attention to title. This is a very important bum marketing tip and advice. See you want more and more number of people to click on your articles and read them. For that purpose the title of the article is very very important.

However, having said that, it doesn't mean that the article body is not important. Infact it is equally important otherwise people will just click the back button.

However if you pay attention to the title, and try to keep your article as tightly focused as possible according to the title, you may be able to produce excellent article.

Try out an article title first, then draft your whole article according to the title. Don't forget to insert the keywords you are targeting in the title.

Bum Marketing Tip#4:
Target long tail keywords. If you want to enjoy success with the bum marketing method, you have to get into the habit of targeting those keywords which have less competition. They may have less traffic also but that doesn't matter.

Anyhow you will be writing many many articles, so having just a small amount of regular traffic from each article can accumulate and you can earn handsome income with your bum marketing efforts.

Long tail keywords comprise of phrases with more than 3-4 words. These keywords are usually more targeted and obviously have less competition.

Bum Marketing Tip #5:
Focus on quality. A lot of bum marketers make this mistake of just trying to put some garbage article on the internet. They believe that they need to write as many articles as they can without worrying about quality.

This is not how bum marketing or article marketing works. Readers will not buy your recommended products if you fail to win their trust. You can win their trust and respect by providing them with good quality information that is really helpful to them.

For this you might need to research your article topic thoroughly. Do not shy away from researching and writing well. Also focus on providing some unique information which is not easily found elsewhere.

If you can provide useful as well as unique information then the readers are likely to gain a favorable impression of you and the click-throughs to your site can improve.

The above bum marketing tips are very important if you want to enjoy success with the bum marketing method. You see bum marketing method is not just a way for quick money but also for long term success if you can use it properly by following the above tips.

Find Hot Niches Everyone Else Overlooks

By Don Lawson

Can you believe that the largest stumbling blocks for new affiliate marketers is finding what to sell online. Many try product after product in an attempt to find something they can sell successfully online. Choosing a hot selling product to sell online isn't hard. With the simple tips below, anyone can find a hot selling product of their own to sell online.

Affiliate marketers who make the most money know how and where to look for products that are in high demand. Many beginners make the mistake of searching for an affiliate program with a high payout. This can be a huge mistake! Or, they may choose a product that many Internet shoppers are not looking to buy. Another big mistake! To make money on the Internet, you need a lot of traffic and a hot product.

To start your research, make a list of things that you're interested in. What you're searching for is something that you're passionate about. Or a product or service you've used and know something about. You can't sell something unless you're knowledgeable and believe in it.

First, visit Yahoo or Google. Both have excellent resources to find those hot products that you'll need to be successful. You can search the trends to see how popular a product or service is. You can look back weeks, months and sometimes even years to see how much search volume your chosen product or service has been getting. Google has a section called Hot Trends. Get to know this section well.

I really love using Google Trends. I've probably found more hot niches using Google Trends than any other tool that I've used over the years. Look for the line on the graph to be steady over time or slightly rise. You may notice that some products are seasonal, having up and down lines that occur about the same time each year. There's nothing wrong with this, but you need to be aware that you're looking at a season product.

Once you've narrowed your niche down on Google, then go to Yahoo and continue your research there. The section in Yahoo that I use is called The Buzz. The Buzz tracks search terms and whether or not they are rising or falling. I've discovered more than a few hot niches on The Buzz.

Another excellent place to find hot selling products is ebay. Ebay has a section that will show you the most popular selling products. This can also give you ideas on what to sell on ebay and on the Internet as well. The section you want to look for is called Ebay Pulse. You can also drill down to find which specific products are hot.

Finding a hot selling product is not hard. You just have to know where to look in order to find them. Picking an affiliate product just because it has a high payout is a sure fire way to fail. Pick something you know about and then research it to see if there is a demand for it. This way you'll have the confidence to stay the course until you see the fruits of your labor pay off.

Social Networking for Lead Generation

By David B. Ascot

Social Networking and Web2.0: these are basically buzz words that you probably seeing around in magazines and newspapers all the time at the moment. A social networking site is basically a site that is aimed at building a community of people who share interest and activities or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others. Some of the most common social and networking sites that you might of heard of are: Myspace, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

For website owners, there is something to be noted here - wherever there are people, there is an opportunity to generate traffic for their website. The idea here if you want to generate traffic is to build a community of people who may be interested in the products or services you provide and getting them to visit your site in order to learn more. For business lead generation, there are a few obstacles to overcome along the way.

The audience you'll be reaching is largely a youthful one; most social networking users are 30 or under. If you are trying to present your product or service to say, corporate management who fall in the age range of 34-55, it is not as likely that they are to be found on MySpace. This means that depending on your audience, you may or may not get good results using social networking.

These users are also notoriously difficult to sell to. They will be resistant to any hard sell tactics; take a gentle approach and be subtle when introducing them to your business rather than just hitting them with a sales pitch right off the bat. Having the right product is paramount here, as is the ability to mobilise social networking users to visit your site and to learn more about it.

My colleague Nick Schoonen has a blog (rczero.com) which is target towards remote control enthusiasts - remote control planes, cars and so on. He also has a plan to monetize the site; while I won't get into that here, I will mention that he has been very successful at using social networking to drive traffic to his site. The reason that he has been such a success at this is that the audience he is going for is more or less the same one as is to be found on these social networking sites.

Let's imagine for a moment that you own a waste disposal service. You probably aren't going to generate a lot of interest among MySpace users for this subject; in fact, this is something people are generally uninterested in unless they happen to need that service at that particular moment.

When you are making efforts at business lead generation, social networking sites are not as cost effective as many other strategies you could be using. I would suggest trying out other strategies before using social networking to drive traffic to your site.

How To Generate Offline Publicity For Your Online Business

By Theo McLanahan

There are many advantages to using the Internet to do business. For example, you can contact lots of people and work wherever you want. But you do not have to limit yourself to online publicity only.

You can expose your business to a larger market by means of press releases. Press releases are simple documents that you send to the media which contain information regarding your business that you hope the media will do a story about.

Press releases follow the same standard format. You can find example press releases online. They should include facts about your company and details on special events or promotions that you will soon have. Press releases can be sent to newspapers in your area or online media sources.

Just giving someone a business card is a powerful publicity tool. You can promote your business by doing nothing more than putting your business card inside you mailbox, attaching it to the back of fliers, or simply handing it out.

Be on the look out for public events that your business could sponsor in order to gain more publicity. If your business is related to children, you could get more in the public eye by sponsoring a little league team. A local health fair would be a good place to get some publicity if your company deals with health issues.

Many groups, clubs, and organizations in your area would no doubt be interested in having you come and give a speech in front of a group. Even though this can be nerve racking, if you have the courage to do so it can be a powerful publicity booster.

Try to find a group whose members are probably in your business's target market. Then contact them on the phone and ask if they would be interested in having you come to give a presentation.

The Chamber of Commerce in your area would probably be very excited to have a web designer come give a presentation. You could talk about websites and any related topics that you know how to speak about.

The people who hear your presentation may be so enamored by your presentation that they will want to do business with you or at least they will be willing to suggest you to other people who need to work with a web designer.

Search Engine Optimization For Non-Techies

By Jack Sinclair

Everyone that wants instant web site traffic simply heads over to a search engine, and registers to get pay per click (paid) advertising, so when people search, their website gets listed. It can add up to quite a bit of money when you use ppc traffic.

Of course, the better your pages are, the more likely the search engines will list them for free, and let people click all day without charging you a penny.

You may have heard of this Page Rank thing. It is a google score between 0 and 10, and the higher the number, the better your page is. No one really knows how PageRank is scored, not even Larry Page (one of the key guys at Google). I can show you some simple things you can do to get better search engine rankings, and a better Page Rank.

Does that sound cool? It's easy stuff, and let's get into it straight away.

1. Generate links on other websites pointing to your website, using popular keywords.

Having a lot of other sites pointing to your site is a surefire way to get the attention from the search engines. If those links use words that people search for, you have a shot at getting on the results pages of the search engines.

A great way to do this is to write informative articles and use the author box to link back to your site, then submit your article to many article directories.

2. Include your keywords in your title tag.

The title tag is what you read at the very very top left of your browser. Make sure your keyword shows up there.

3. Include your keyword in your headline.

The headline is the big text on your web page. It is the "H1" tag, if you look at the code for your page. Your page should have only one big headline, and your keyword should be in it.

4. Put related keywords on your page.

Some folks call this semantic indexing, but you can ignore those big words, and simply write meaningful stuff on your page, and you will have related words that tell the search engines that this is stuff that humans should see.

5. Remove the programming jargon from your main html file.

Get the programming mumbo jumbo out of your html files, and put it in another file. Things like javascript and "css" mess up the search engine spiders that come and index your pages, so put that stuff on other files, and include it in one small line of code. That way, there is no chance of messing up the bots when the come to visit.

6. Put the full link to your internal HTML pages.

This is quite easy, and just means of linking to the HTML page, you link to it like it was on another site, using the fully qualified domain name (that http colon slash slash stuff). When you do this, the search engines know that these other pages are worth indexing too.

7. Update your site frequently.

By keeping things new on your website, it means you have active dynamic content, which the search engines love. So keep things maintained and updated, and your rankings in the "SERPS" will rise steadily.

Try these tips out, and watch your search engine results rise higher and higher. It is simple when you know what to do.

How To Create A Blog

By Rex Stevenson

Creating a blog can be the best thing you do for your website or business. First it can create traffic for you very quickly, and in many cases can create a nice income for you too. Its just a matter of learning how to become a successful blogger.

Blogs are very popular, and if you haven't started one then you are probably missing a lot of readers who have like interests with you. Internet users love to read blogs and love to come back to blogs to see what's need. Search engines also love blogs. Google and Yahoo realized that blogs have the most current content on the web and that content is continually changing. These tips will help you learn how to create a blog and avoid technical problems when blogging.

Choose a Blogger - Choose between one of the two programs for blogging, either blogger or Wordpress. You may have seen where these two companies like to compete against each other, and each has their advantages and disadvantages. The best way to choose between the two is to look at both sites and use the one that is easiest for you. If you ever want to change from one the the other, the process is fairly simple

Find your passion and you will find your Blog - Choosing your platform is half the job, but you also need to decide on what you will blog about, so you need to choose a subject that you truly like, because this is what you will be writing about, and answering questions to. A blog is like a daily newspaper so it needs to be about something you want to learn about and write about.

Bloggers that are passionate and love their hobbie and their field love to exchange information with their readers, and want to continually interact with their readers for years to come. When you choose to blog about subjects that you have no real interest in, then you lose interest and your blog loses readers.

Be a Good Blogger - There are many bloggers out there that make between four and five figures a month by blogging and it is possible for you to make the same. You just need to become well known and you have to have information that people are interested in too.

Starting the blog is just the beginning - the real work starts when you have to start adding stuff to your site. The value of your blog to readers is what makes your blog interesting and effective. It is so important that you continually add content and information that can be valued by your readers. This is like your own online newsletter or newspaper, and that means you either need to post daily or every other day.

Once you have started the blog you need to learn to get traffic to it. Getting it up is easy, and its even easy to add some content, but getting traffic to keep coming back can be a little tricky and you need to keep on top of things. Read as much as you can about driving traffic to your site and getting your readers to stay there.

Can You Be a Successful Affiliate Marketer?

By Tony Buel

Affiliate marketing is a business model where you as the affiliate marketer sell products and services, which you don't own in order to generate sales from which you get a percentage.

Affiliate Marketing works because it allows you as a seller to directly participate in the growth of a business or industry.

Affiliate Marketers attract an audience of buyers for the products and services people are searching to buy. This can be via banner ads, Pay per Click ads, websites you own, email marketing, blogs, etc. There are a myriad of ways to generate this traffic.

The Real Secret To Getting Traffic With Article Marketing

By Theo McLanahan

You can help boost traffic to your website by marketing with articles. All that this means is submitting articles that you have written to online article reprint directories.

In order to get traffic to your website or blog by means of search engine results, it is absolutely essential that your content be well updated and interesting. Article reprint directories are commonly visited by people who want to add content to their website or blog with an article.

When you submit an article to a directory, you are allowing other website owners and bloggers permission to add your article to their site - for free. However, they need to include an 'about the author' box at the end of the article. You get to write what you want included in that box, so include a bit of information about the product or service you offer and include links to your site.

Your information, including a link to your website, will thus be presented to anyone who reads your article. Depending on which bloggers and website owners choose to use your articles, you may be exposing yourself to hundreds, thousands, or even millions of potential customers. That could lead to lots of clicks to your website's link.

A Google search for 'free reprint article directories' will yield a large number of websites that you can use. There are general directories and other more specific ones where all the articles they offer are written on a specific topic, such as health or food.

You don't have to limit yourself to just one directory; feel free to submit your writing to as many as you wish. If you prefer, software is available that will submit articles for you.

Since you could write about literally anything, take the theme of your website into consideration when deciding what your articles should be about. Make your articles appealing to the people that you want to visit your website.

For example, a Tupperware salesperson might choose to write articles about food or even about tips on how to use plastic containers to keep toiletries, screws and nails, and toys organized.
