Internet Marketing Gurus are Misleading Innocent People

Many newbie internet marketers begin internet marketing with an illusion. They think that this is a very easy way to earn lots of money quickly. However this is not the truth.

It requires a lot of hard work, patience and it takes time before you see substantial results. Many so called gurus have been responsible for creating this illusion for innocent people. They have led the people to believe that you can start a website and within weeks start getting tons of traffic and sales.

People are not told frankly how much hard work is involved. In a lot of cases, you need to spend money as well. However they will tell you that you don't need to invest money in internet marketing. Tell me one business which does not require substantial investment? Internet marketing is also a kind of business.

There are many people who failed at internet marketing and gave up. Actually they began with false expectations and got disappointed easily because they did not get the results they were expecting. If they had begun with proper expectation, atleast a few of them would have probably worked hard and might have tasted some kind of success.

As for the rest, it wouldn't have still mattered to them. Even if they knew beforehand that it takes a lot of hard work, they would have still done little and expected much. The gurus of internet marketing have not caused much damage to such people. Those people who would have had sensible expectations, had not the gurus fed them impossible dreams, are the real losers.

Even if the gurus point out such strategies in their products which have worked for many, they would present it in such a manner that it would look too easy even for beginners. The fact of the matter is, there is a big learning curve for anything you do. Internet marketing is no different in this aspect.

So, here is my advice to anyone who would care to listen - take the advice of the gurus with a pinch of salt. Don't have too high expectations. And be prepared to work hard.
